How Deep is Your Love

The Birds discuss Ye being a #fingerinthebootyassbitch, Blackrob's #peakpetty, and#americasnexttopmommy.

This week the Birds had tons to chirp about courtesy of the #fingerinthebootyassbitch, Mr. Kanye West.  The Birds jump right in, discussing Mr. Kardashian's feud with Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa.  AmBam's clapback segwayed nicely into discussing our new favorite couple Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian.  We can’t get enough of their gym selfies and clover emojis.  Clearly Chyna was playing chess while the Kardashian's were playing checkers and the Birds are here for her #peakpetty.  Rob revealed himself to be a true ride or die and even bailed Chyna out of jail! #BaeGoals.  The Birds also briefly discussed how stupid B.O.B. is and Tyra Banks becoming America’s Next Top Mommy.

This week’s #HipPopQuiz  theme was Social Media. Tawanda did her thang answering questions based on lyrics from Yo Gotti, Jay-z and others. Use your Twitter fingers to answer the audience question here or on Twitter using the hashtag #HipPopQuiz.  Shout out to last week’s participants, Daniel, @ellewoods119 and @litfangrl.

Crave is back this week for our #JusttheTip segment discussing fingers in the booty (thank you, Kanye).  Find out how to start or improve anal stimulation. As always, if you have questions for Crave use the "Submit a Question" tab and ask away.

Rihanna’s always been a bad gyal but this week she’s a Bad Bird. This honor has been a long time coming, but with the highly anticipated Anti album dropping we couldn’t think of anyone else more deserving.  Listen in for updates on previous Bad Birds Beyonce, Viola Davis and Serena Williams.

You can reach us on InstagramTwitterFacebook, and Tumblr for information about the show and to interact with us more.  Thank you all for you patience during our hiatus, we are so happy to be back with you guys again.

Baby Let It Snow

The Birds are back to discuss Snowzilla, #oscarssowhite, Meek v Peak Petty, and #FeeltheBern.

Happy New Years! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Kwanza! Happy Martin Luther King Day!  Happy, we know we ain't shit for not posting an episode in a month and a half but here we are making amends for it today day! We started off the episode with EJ congratulating Tawanda on her foresight to move to Minnesota and avoid Snowzilla.  In a funny yet oddly divisive subject, the Birds discuss #Oscarssowhite and First Aunt Viv's reaction to Jada's boycotting of the Oscars as well as EJ's delightful Igbo accent. The Birds then went on to discuss Meek Mill's inability to mind his damn business and his recent interactions with Peak Petty, 50 Cent and Bernie Sanders recent surge in the polls against Hillary Clinton.

The Birds also briefly mention Flint, Michigan and their prayers go out to the children affected by the water crisis.

In a new segment entitled "Just the Tip" the Birds introduce Crave, the new resident Sexpert, who will be giving weekly sex tips and answering questions.  This week's topic was kegels. Are you ready to work out your pelvic floor?  Not just for the ladies, men can join in too.  If you have a question for Crave you can send them through the submit a question tab on our website or tweet us with the hashtag #justthetip.

Hip Pop Quiz was focused on Tax Season. Tawanda quizzed EJ about hip hop lyrics related to tax time and gave the audience a "name that rapper" question.  Play along with EJ this week and answer the audience question through our website or via twitter with the hashtag #hippopquiz.

This week's #askabird was about a young entrepeneur and the Birds gave general business marketing advice.  We actually answered this question pretty well so if you are interested in starting a small business, this segment may be perfect for you.  If you have any other questions for the Birds, ask through our submit a question tab on our website or tweet us with the hashtag #askabird.

This week's bad bird of the week would have been us if we didn't realize during taping that we didn't deserve it.  Next week we will definitely find a woman worthy of our weekly honor.

You can reach us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr for information about the show and to interact with us more.  Thank you all for you patience during our hiatus, we are so happy to be back with you guys again.

Blessings on Blessings on Blessings

The Birds discuss Thanksgiving, sourdough vagina, Black Friday nonsense, and protests.

After a brief hiatus the Birds are back! This week we discussed our respective Thanksgivings. While we didn't have as an eventful of a Thanksgiving as James Wright, we were thankful that we weren't subjected to bread made out of vaginal secretions. Wondering what the hell we're talking about? Press play for the full rundown.  You can't discuss Thanksgiving without talking about Black Friday so the Birds recapped all of the fuckery the consumer driven holiday inspired.  Things turned somber after having to recap the shooting during the #JusticeforJamar protests, the release of Laquan McDonald's execution video, and the shooting at Planned Parenthood.

EJ couldn't wait to deliver this week's #HipPopQuiz.  She tried to undermine the Say No to Chris movement with a Chris and Sean themed quiz.  Listen in to see how you do!  Tweet us the answer with the hashtag #hippopquiz or answer through our website.  Congrats to last week's winners:  @gquince21 and @williebobby.

There were not #AskaBird questions this week but if you have a query hit us on Twitter or through our website.

Our Bad Bird this week is song bird Adele who came from seemingly nowhere and broke records with her chart topping album "25".  Tawanda hasn't heard it yet because she's baeless and isn't emotionally ready for the album but EJ seems to think it's decent. Check out the flawless beauty here and let us know what you think about the CD.

We may be taking another brief break (let the alliteration soothe you) but keep up with us on InstagramTwitterFacebook. and Tumblr.  While you're poking around on the internet, leave us a five star rating on iTunes. Thanks. You the best.

Peace to the Paris Crew in the Avenue.

The Birds discuss #pattiepies, Fetty Wap feminist theory, Church apologies, social media activism, and the recent worldwide tragedies.

This week Tawanda open's the show with her desire to try a Pattie Pie after watching James Wright's in depth review of the pastry.  While she laments that they are sold out everywhere, EJ is happy that Pattie Labelle honored James with a phone call. The Birds then discuss MC Lyte's claim that Fetty Wap is the most feminist rapper in the game.  Do you agree with MC Lyte's assertion?  The Birds were on the fence.  The Birds then discuss the casting of the Kent State play about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. where the play's lead character is white.  Let me reiterate, MLK is played by a white man.  EJ scolds everyone who allowed this to happen and differentiates this "colorblind casting" with casting black actors in fiction movies.  The Birds then get into the science of cheating and discover the genetic and hormonal links that may make a person more susceptible to cheating.

Things take a more somber note when the Birds talk about the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, Beirut, and Baghdad and the ongoing racial tensions at Mizzou.  They discuss many people's unfounded anger about the France Flag filters on Facebook and how the filters do not mean that much as a form of activism anyway.

Hip pop quiz was about One Hit Wonders and EJ does well.  Do you know the answer to this week's question?  Tweet us the answer with the hashtag #hippopquiz or answer through our website.  Congrats to last week's winners:  @litfangirl and @williebobby.

This week's bad bird is is Johari Osayi Idusuyi whose "Boy Bye" game while reading Black political theory was so strong during a recent Donald Trump rally that she won the hearts of many Donald Trump opposers. Learn more about our Bad Bird here.

Did you like this week's episode??? Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars. Tweetemail or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

The Unnecessary Rigga-Ma-Roe

The Birds discuss petty exes, Ben Carson #mmmohmygawd, and dating deal breakers.

The Birds are back again to run through all of the randomness of this week. First up on the list is David Justice. After reminding us all that he still existed, Justice went on a Twitter rant insinuating that Wesley Snipes abused Halle, and that Halle was crazy and manipulative. We discuss his bitchassness and more before moving on to Ben Carson.  We say it almost every week, but it needs to be said again, that n-word crazy! This week he earns our mockery by releasing a terrible hip hop song and lying about his scholarship from West Point.  One can’t help but wonder why Ben Carson always lying, why the fuck he lying mmmmmohmygawd….

Speaking of idiots, we also did some yelling about a Houston activist who blamed Bad Bird, Beyonce, for a trans rights bill failing. Listen in on all the ways we think he’s stupid.  We move on to K. Michelle’s desire to remove her butt implants and we end with EJ subtly shading Tawanda with the New York Times’ list of dating deal breakers.

This week’s #HipPopQuiz was an ode to rappin’ ass love songs. Questions from Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Nelly and Jay-z songs were featured. Tawanda dominated the category because she is a hip hop scholar and incredibly intelligent. EJ remained a hatin’ ass hoe.  Scholars and hatin’ ass hoes alike should try their hand at this week’s audience question by answering through our website or by tweeting us with the hashtag #hippopquiz.   Congrats to last week's winners: @williebobby, and @jupiterjulep24.

This week we didn’t mention dicks a single time during the #AskaBird segment. We are very proud of this small accomplishment.  We answered questions from Lolo who who was wondering why a potential bae was being inconsistent with his loving, and anonymous who wanted to know if a dream wedding is worth the nightmare.  If you have a question, hit us up here or on Twitter. While a dick discussion wasn’t featured in this response, we cannot guarantee dick’s absence every week.

Finally, before awarding Tschneill Rainey with Bad Bird of the Week for her epic takedown of an internet hater, Tawanda submitted a Bird Theory about what motivated Super Serena to chase down that phone thief.  There were also updates on Tina Knowles Lawson and last week’s Bad Bird, Simone Biles.

We hope you guys enjoy this week’s episode. If you do be sure leave us a five star rating on iTunes. If you don’t, than EJ’s intro bears to be repeated, “Hatin’hoes aint happy, and happy hoes ain’t hating.”  You can also keep up with us via Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.  Be blessed.

Hands On Yo Knees

The Birds discuss Halloween costumes, woman of the year, cancer meat, and Republican f*ckery.

This week the Birds return by delving into the thot odyssey of Zola. Zola spun an epic tale of mystery, mayhem, and murder that left Tawanda and EJ, along with the rest of the country enthralled. Equally as entertaining were this year's crop of celebrity Halloween costumes. Listen in to hear us opine about Beyoncé's, June Ambrose's , and the Game's Halloween costumes. Things take a sadder turn when EJ brings up all of the delicious foods that can kill you.

While it doesn't hold the prestige of Bad Bird of the Week, the Glamour Woman of the Year award is a great honor. Caitlyn Jenner counts herself among his year's recipients, a placement that the Birds don't agree with... We bring back the #republicanfuckery segment this week to lambast soft spoken baboon, Ben Carson, for his penchant for comparing things he doesn't like to slavery.

Dancing Drake and the underdeveloped genre of Trap Disco inspired this week's #HipPopQuiz. Listen to EJ flounder her way through simple questions pertaining to dance crazes the dougie, da butt, and the humpty dance.  The n!ggas who don't dance, but just pull up their pants should try their luck with this week's audience question by answering through our website or by tweeting us on Twitter with the hashtag #hippopquiz.   Congrats to last week's winners: Derrick, @williebobby, and @gquince21.

While you're here, poking around, submit a question for our #AskaBird segment. Ask us anything about love, work, ourselves, how to avoid Chrises, or any other matter you're curious about.

Our Bad Birds keep getting younger and younger. Zendaya held the title for the youngest Bad Bird of the Week briefly before seceding it to 18 year old world champion gymnast Simone Biles. There are also updates about Bad Bird alums Viola Davis, Janet Mock and Misty Copeland. Also we recognized @BATBsnark, who was a listener submitted Bad Bird, for being one of South Africa's leading drone experts. If you guys have a Bad Bird you want recognized shoot us a tweet or an email and we'll highlight their excellence.

We had some technical difficulties this week but much like a Just for Me relaxer kit we will work out the kinks. Thanks for rocking with us while we smooth things out. Keep up with us via Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, and don't forget to leave a five star rating on iTunes.

Ever Since I Left the City

The Birds return from hiatus to discuss Ebony's Cosby Cover, Cookie Lyon's business casual, and Rahmeek meeking again.

The Birds are back!  After a few more weeks than they initially anticipated, the Birds return with their 26th episode.  The Birds begin the episode with EJ reminding everyone where to find them and to take the Listener Survey.  They jump right into the "Let's Get Into It" segment with a discussion on Ebony's infamous Cosby cover.  Tawanda thought the cover was poignant and EJ didn't pay attention to it until she had to which is typical.  What was your reaction?  Tweet the Birds and let them know how you feel.  The Birds then transition to discussing Rahmeek internet beefing with fellow labelmate Wale. It's a shame that people call being petty on the internet "meeking" but he brought it upon himself.  The Birds then chuckle over the NY Times Editor who decided to dress like Cookie Lyon for a week. They then transition to discussing Khloe and Lamar and their reconciliation and send well wishes to Freddy Gray's mom.

Congrats to everyone who got last episodes #hippopquiz question correct.  Special congrats to  Derrick@Williebobby, and @Jupiterjulip24.  This week's quiz was centered around DMX songs.  Tawanda did well.  How did you do?  Answer this week's question through our website or by tweeting us on Twitter.

This weeks Q&A was about catfishing and sexting.  The Birds try their hardest to stay on topic and do a pretty decent job.  If you want the Birds to attempt to answer your questions send them through the Submit a Question tab on the website or through the hashtag #askabird on twitter.

This week's Bad Bird was none other than Zendaya Coleman.  Once the girls decided on the correct pronunciation of her name, they praise her for getting some over retouched photos of her in Modeliste magazine taken down.  Zendaya has been slaying for a while now, so this was a well deserved award.

Ever since she left the city, we, we, we ... ain't recorded an episode but we are back like we never left.  Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars. Tweetemail or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

Live from the Gutter

The Birds discuss #netflixandchill, patchouli barbie, Merry Jane, and Next's greatest hits.

EJ starts off the show with a beautiful rendition of "I Miss My Homies" by Master P dedicated to Tawanda who will be moving to Minnesota causing the Birds of a Feather podcast to go on a short hiatus. Despite the various difficulties with recording the episode this week the Bird's continue on despite both of them realizing that this is a quote "trash ass episode."

The "Let's Get Into It" segment began with EJ lamenting about the statistics in Aziz Ansari's book "Modern Romance".  She opines that dating is too hard and she doesn't ever want to do it and hopes to never have to again. Tawanda is fine with some of the texting rules Aziz states in his book while EJ wonders if she's too old to date and if technology is eliminating extemporaneous conversations and turning kids into idiots.  The Birds then discuss Zendaya getting a Barbie based on her controversial look at the 2015 Oscars and Demi Lovato's comments about wanting Mattel to produce a Barbie based on her curvier body type. Tawanda then applauds Snoop Dogg for starting tech company and app Merry Jane and reminds everyone not to steal the Bird's ideas for Greeting Card/Rolling Papers.  A heated discussion then ensues regarding RL's statement that the vine "Why You Always Lying" is a mockery of his life's work with EJ believing that his life's work as front man for Next amounts to trash and Tawanda defending "Butta Love" as the song of a generation (note: EJ may have exaggerated Tawanda's actual feelings in this recap in order to make her seem insane).

Shoutout to Tawanda's dog Barbie whose assholishness hindered recording and reminded EJ and Tawanda why they record at EJ's house in the first place.

The HipPopQuiz segment was based on Libra Season as Tawanda and EJ are both Libras (October 2nd and 5th respectively).  Tawanda asks for 5 stars and likes on iTunes while EJ states gifts and money are preferred.  Either way, EJ's immediate gift is her getting every question of the quiz correct (despite having to answer two questions three times).  Did you do as well on the quiz?  If so, make sure to answer  the audience question here or on twitter using the hashtag #hippopquiz.

Congrats to last week's winners: @GQuince21, @xoDeAndrea, @MrsProfesq, @WillieBobby, @Tunders, @EssKayGA, Daniel, Anthony, and Derrick.

Q&A was a bit shaky as the Birds did their best to advise how to tell a friend their life is falling apart and to answer whether side hoes ever prosper and if it's ok to fight the mistress.  If you have questions you would like the Birds to struggle through answering, feel free to submit a question through our website via the Submit a Question tab or via twitter through the #askabird hashtag.

Our Bad Bird of the Week is Amber Rose, much to EJ's delight.  Read more about Amber in the Bad Bird of the Week section of our website where EJ was allowed to gush even more.

This was one of those weeks where everything was against the Birds but they recorded an episode anyway because they love the show and their fans.  Thanks for sticking it out with them through the trash and hopefully the hiatus will be short lived!  Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars. Tweet, email or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

Sorry 4 the Wait

The Birds are a day late but never short! They discuss actor mixtapes, Republican f*ckery, babies, and clockblocking.

Life got in the way and caused this week's episode to be late, but like the artist formerly known as Kanye West says, "you should be honored by my lateness…" No? You're not? Don't know why we thought that'd work for us…moving on. This week highlighted burgeoning R&B and Hip Hop artists Sanaa Lathan and Idris Elba.  They've joined a growing movement of folks with a day job who are trying to be part-time artists.  EJ isn't a fan of their endeavors and doubled down on her Don Beezy hatred, so it's safe to say that she doesn't stan for greatness. The Birds also delivered another round of #RepublicanFuckery courtesy of recent GOP debates.  Is bareness the penance for a career for women?  Gabrielle Union thinks so and the Birds discuss this notion as well as Tyra Banks and Chrissy Tiegen's recent push to stop people from asking women about pregnancy.  Additionally, the girls discuss Ahmed Mohammed's recent clockblocking (pun courtesy of Flavor Flav) and why Irving, Texas tried the fuck out of it.

This week's #AskaBird segment centered around a question from Shae who wondered if she should embark on a relationship with a nephew her fuckboi (her words, although we agree) brother doesn't claim. Before going off on a completely unrelated tangent, the Birds gave her some advice for her very difficult situation.

At the suggestion of loyal listener @andisachs, this week's #HipPopQuiz was based on Missy Elliot's classics. EJ becomes increasingly bitter as Tawanda dominates the segment. Congrats to last week's winners Derrick, @jupiterjulep24, @jadevixn, @williebobby, @davevanb, @andisachs, and @_mothernerdbird.  Don't forget to submit your answer for the audience question here or on twitter.

Our Bad Bird of the Week is Viola Davis for her historical Emmy win and inspiring speech that invoked the hate of mediocre white feminists all over the world. There are also new updates about previous Bad Birds, Taraji P. Henson, Drake, and Kerry Washington.

Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars. Tweet, email or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

The Love Below

EJ and Tawanda are back to discuss 9to5's as side hustles, blacks appropriating blacks, fashion activism, and cuffing down literally.

And we are back!  The Birds celebrate EJ's return from Europe with ... nothing new.  That's ok though, it's our 23rd episode and we back to doing it like we do it!  Note that Tawanda is moving!  This means eventually we will have to take a short hiatus to figure out how to record the podcast remotely, but until then, enjoy the same Birdyness you've come to love.

The "Let's Get Into It" segment begins with the Birds discussing rapping as a side hustle.  They then discuss their feelings about Hoop Dreams, Tawanda recounts her days as Beezy the Don and EJ remembers an encounter with an ex basketball player's cousin. The girls then discuss the article where an African blogger lambastes African Americans for appropriating African culture (even though she directs her misplaced anger towards Africans) while discussing if we are getting too sensitive.  The Birds then address fashion activism and if Kerby Jean-Raymond may have utilized his art in an offensive manner in trying to bring to light issues espoused by the Black Lives Matter movement.  Would you be taken aback if you were dating a man who sleeps with a Teddy Bear?  Well 35% of British adults do and so does EJ.  Tawanda proceeds to be a judgy mcjudgerson while EJ stands by her decision to stand by her Teddy. The girls then discuss a blog article by Books Boyz and Booze where she discusses dating down (as in height and weight) and the girls determine if this is something that they are willing to do.

This week's Hip Pop Quiz was a sham, but EJ participated as best as she could.  The theme was Outkast and T asked the most obscure and random questions ... the audience question was a bit easier, though!  Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show.

The winners for the "All I Do Is Win" episode were:  Derrick, @WillieBobby, The Edge, Rina, King Kween, @BettyKiss, @AishaMooreMPH, @SheerJilliance, @EssKayGA, @_mothernerdbird, @jadevixn, @zoratonimaya, @litfangirl, @GQuionce, and Ody!

The winners for the "21 and Another One" episode were:  Christia, @classickmateria, @_mothernerdbird, Daniel, Rina, Derrick, and Peter

Q&A focused on whether or not the girls would date a transman and whether transpersons need to disclose their gender identity.  Listen to get the girls perspective and rejoice in the fact that they finally answered the actual question they were asked.

This week, Queen Yonce and Serena share the honor of being Co-Bad Birds of the week.  Read more about them in our Bad Bird section.

21 And Another One

In a special episode of Birds of a Feather learn more about the Birds and why and how they podcast.

EJ is on a world tour with Muhammed my man (it’s actually her family but who can resist a Tribe lyric?), and so we had to prerecord our episode. Let’s start this recap off by wishing you all a happy and safe Labor Day!

We decided to use this opportunity to talk more about ourselves. You’re welcome.  We start off by talking about why we started podcasting.  It was a clear black night, a clear white moon, Tawanda was in the streets trying to consume…Actually none of that is true. Press play to get the real story. We also answer some random tumblr questions about our first memories, the love our lives, and the last texts we received.

Tawanda beasted this week’s Kanye west edition of #HipPopQuiz. EJ came through with eight rounds of fire Kanye questions. Don’t forget to try your hand at the audience question. Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show. Press play and see if you can do better.

Since we weren’t going to be around to see who was going to be great this week, we had to award the Bad Bird of the Week to someone who has consistently been dope as fuck. Who else could we rely on but Beyonce? She always flys above the rest. Thank you queen for being there for us when we need you.

Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars.  Tweetemail, or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

All I Do Is Win

The Birds discuss Chris’s chrissing again, driving while white, laughing while black, and the real life John Q.

It’s episode 21, we’re legal and it’s lit! This week EJ reluctantly joins the #SayNoToChris movement and kicks off the “Let’s Get Into It” segment with Chris Brown’s latest acts of Chrissery. It was difficult for EJ to speak out against Chris’s so we should all circle around her and give her a lot of love an encouragement. Karrechue is finally starting to see the light and one day, one sweet day, EJ wll too.

Moving on. We also discussed a crazed member of the #FutureHive who had the privilege of leading LAPD on a car chase, and surrendering only after she had blown out her tire and hit her thot bop to Future and Drake’s “Where You At.”  Compare the treatment of that asshole tothe 11 aunties who were kicked off a Napa Valley wine train just for laughing.  Or, to Steeler’s fans opposition to Michael Vick being hired as a back up quarterback.  All of which is discussed this week.

Finally, if you were moved as much as we were by the story of the father who robbed a bank to secure health care for his daughter, please donate to their Go Fund Me.

EJ also gives her very first Bird Theory. Listen in on why she thinks T-Pain deserves your standom and respect for his innovative use of autotune.  She was so passionate about her Bird Theory that she didn’t do so well in this week’s #HipPopQuiz.  Congrats to last weeks winners @enigmaticsoulRG, @zoratonimaya, @KSwillis, @Badblackgyal, Anthony, Rina, @Willibobby, and Chris D Great. Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show. Press play and see if you can do better.

This week’s Bad Bird is writer and trans-actvisit Janet MockWatch her epic take down of Mike Fuckabee and you’ll know why she received this week’s honor.

Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars.  Tweetemail, or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

She Said Ok

The Birds discuss racist pizza, Madam Tuss-NO!s, group think, and feminist anthems.

This episode we hop right in and discuss a New York pizzeria's racist slice of the month.  How can pizza be racist when it's so delicious and perfect and reliable you ask? Press play and find out.  Madame Tussauds showed themselves to be Madam Tuss-NO!s when they disrespected previous Bad Bird of the Week Nicki Minaj with a oversexualized wax figure. EJ starts off harshly judging Madame Tuss-NO!s's overzealous patrons until Tawanda reminds her of where she came from. EJ quickly changes the subject and the Birds go on to discuss TV's transgender "trend".  EJ also provides a psychological lesson on group think courtesy of her studies at the illustrious school of Men in Black.

Tawanda's holds a Bird Theory that Big Boi's underrated bop "She Said Ok" is a feminist anthem.  Listen to her argument and then add the song to your playlist guilt free.

EJ centered this month's Hip Pop Quiz around New York rappers. She found writing the quiz challenging at first until Tawanda reminded her that damn near every rapper ever is from New York, SMH. Tawanda did her thug thizzle but got tripped up on a Foxy Brown question. That's was to be expected because who the hell knows Foxy Brown songs?! I think it's safe to say no one. Let us know if you agree.  Congrats to last weeks winners Derrick@HanidayBasha Dee@WilliebobbyRina@GQuince21Aisha. Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show.

Our Bad Bird of the Week is everyone's favorite fixer, Kerry Washington.  Listen to the Bird's swoon over the fit new mommy and badly paraphrase her Shape magazine interview. There are also new updates about previous Bad Birds, Tracee Ellis Ross and Misty Copeland.

Don't forget to subscribe on iTunes and rate five stars. You should call the Ghostbusters and tell them there's something strange in the neighborhood. Then once they get there tell them there aren't any ghosts, just a couple of Birds who want them to rate and subscribe as well (#IAintAfraidofNoGhost).   Tweetemail, or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

Ain't Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang

The Birds discuss Trap Queens, Kardashians, #blacklivesmatter, and #straightouttacompton.

Ain't Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang

Episode 19 began with a story of lottery winner Fontella Marie Holmes who bailed out her current fiance to the tune of nine million dollars.  People are up in arms but Fontella and EJ are in agreement that everyone needs to mind their own business and stop spending someone else's money.  Tawanda then discusses Koko and LamLam, a couple she holds dear to her heart, their meetup at Soulcycle and TMZ being the devil. The Birds also reflect that no man leaves the Kardashian clan unscathed.

EJ decides to swing her vote back to Hillz after she releases her College Affordability plan.  Hilz had her at "refinance" and "low interest rates." The Birds then discuss Black Lives Matters's interruption of political events and Donald Trump stating that if they try it with him, they are going to catch "deez hands".  Neither Bird want Uncle Joe to run for President so Hillz still is their candidate of choice, for now.

Tawanda then waxed poetic about Straight Outta Compton and her love for PYT Oshea Jackson, Jr.  Despite Straight Outta Compton being an amazing film, the Birds lament on the films glossing over of Dr. Dre's brutality against women and the groups misogynistic lyrics.  Tawanda also states her Bird Theory that Eazy-E was murdered by Suge Knight.

This week's HipPopQuiz focused on West Coast rappers much to EJ's delight. She got three out of four answers correct.  Play along with EJ and remember to answer this week's listener question. Congrats to last week's winners Chris D Great, @ellewoods119, JNic, Derrick, and @Burbrix.  Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show.

During Q&A the girls discuss their most successful cuffing season stories with EJ's resulting in her current 4 year long relationship and Tawanda laying out a game plan to the season beginning in May.  We love hearing from you guys so be sure to Tweet, email or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

Our Bad Bird of the Week this Week is Janelle Monáe!  Janelle marched against police brutality, released track Hell You Talmbout, and the Wondaland Records EP "The Eephus."  Read more about her on our Bad Bird of the Week page on the site.

This week's episode is as smooth as a hot comb on nappy ass hair.  Get into it!

All You Gotta Do Is Say Yes

The Birds discuss the GOP debates, luxury lipsticks, and Mariah's star.

All You Gotta Do Is Say Yes

It's episode 18 of the Birds of a Feather podcast, enough episodes to vote! We celebrate this milestone by recapping all of the #RepublicanFuckery that occurred during the GOP debates.  If you don't hear from us ever again it's because Tawanda threw subtle shade at Beyonce and the Beygency took us out, or because EJ insisted on bringing up North Korea's latest example of petty -  their new time zone.  Keep the Birds in your prayers. We move on to less controversial matters and round out the Let's Get Into Segment with a discussion about Christian Louboutin's lipstick line, the #Aaliyah4Mac campaign, and Mariah Carey's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This week's #HipPopQuiz's theme was down south rappers. Press play and answer questions about Trillville, Lil Wayne, Future, and Andrew 3000 along with Tawanda. Don't forget to submit your answer for the audience question here or on twitter. This week's quiz inspired another Bird Theory from Tawanda about how Lil' Wayne, Gucci Mane, and even our favorite bad gal, Rihanna, benefit from the Law of Averages. Hit us up if you agree (if you don't agree, you're wrong but still feel free to hit us up).  Also, let us know if there are any other artists that fit into the theory.

Gather 'round and listen to our story about our day at the Summer Spirit Festival. While we were disappointed by the karaoke routine of Phony! Phoni! Phone!, we did surprisingly enjoy performances by Floetry, Anthony Hamilton, and Erykah Badu.

Our Bad Bird of the Week is an everyday hero and a modern day Rosa Parks.  Cynthia Jordan  is a woman who was tried during her commute and dared to ask a NYC cabbie "Who you fittin' to try? I bet it aint me ohh bitch it aint me!" (I'm paraphrasing here, press play for a more accurate rundown of the situation).

Trigger Fingers Turn to Twitter Fingers

The Birds admit they were wrong about #6bae v Meek & discuss evil dentists & #whitenonsense, Chicago moms, & magical melanin.

Trigger Fingers Turn to Twitter Fingers

Our podcasts are old enough to date Tyga
— Tawanda

On the seventeenth episode of the Birds of a Feather podcast, Tawanda and EJ come out of the gate with ignorance.  They remind the audience to take the Listener Survey and jump right into the Let's Get Into It segment of the show.

The Birds immediately lament last week's decision to dub Meek the winner of the Drake v. Meek kissing contest because Drake certainly came out on top with his non-freestyle-diss "Back to Back".  They then discuss Cecil the Lion and the white non-sense that was Jimmy Kimmel crying over Cecil and not crying over Sam Dubose.  Tawanda gives props to the  Chicago Moms who have stopped murders in their neighborhoods by patrolling the streets and shouts out a report that confirms what we have always known, #blackdontcrack.  EJ then asks if Ciara should respect Future's disdain for the highly photographed relationship her new boo Russell Wilson has with Baby Future.

RIP Bobbi Kristina.

Congrats to last week's Hip Pop Quiz winners @AndiSachs and Rina!  EJ goes 3-0 this week during the Hip Pop Quiz segment showing her superior knowledge of Drake and Jay-Z lyrics and Tawanda asks a Drake themed question to the the audience.   Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show.

Q&A focused on juice fasts and how Tawanda is not here for them.  As usual, the Birds answer but do not answer the question and Tawanda discusses her failed attempt at doing a juice fast.  You know we love hearing from you guys so be sure to Tweet, email or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

Despite it being a hotly contested award, EJ pressed forward with awarding Drake the Bad Bird of the Week Title.  Drake has had a hell of a week and EJ, shade no shade, wants to shout him out for it.  Drake is our first male Bad Bird and is maybe having the best week ever?

This week was a little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll.  We had fun taping and we know you will have fun listening.  So do it.  Do It. DO IT!!!!!!

No Flex Zone

This week the Birds discussed petty twitter wars, bad celebrity poetry and a new presidential candidate.

It's the Birds of a Feather podcast's Super Sweet 16! Didn't buy us a present? No problem! Take the Listener Survey, like us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram and Twitter and hit us with a five star comment on iTunes.  Call Leticia, your beautician and tell her to subscribe and rate five stars too.

This week's episode starts out with Tawanda placing a challenge out to the listeners to tell us what your alias would be if you were a member of Bone Thugs -N- Harmony. During the "Let's Get Into It" segment, we discuss Taylor Swift coming for Nicki Minaj, even though nobody sent for her, Meek Mill calling out Drake for using a ghostwriter, even though nobody asked him, and Brooke Hogan writing a terrible poem in defense of her father Hulk, even though nobody cared. Hillary Clinton's campaign gaffe prompted Tawanda to endorse the Khia 2016 ticket, but EJ promptly shuts that down.

EJ didn't give a Hip Pop Quiz question to Tawanda this week but she had one for the listeners. Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show.  Congrats to last week's winners  @Burbrix, Christia, Peter, and Derrick!

Q&A started with us readdressing a question from last week about sharing your sexual history, we also discuss long distance relationships, giving up your career for your partner and whether luck, hard work, or sharp wit will grant you success. We love hearing from you guys so be sure to Tweet, email or use the "Submit a Question" tab to ask us a question for our #AskABird segment.

We've gushed about her for weeks and Tawanda even named her puppy after her, but we finally decided to bestow our podcast's highest honor, Bad Bird of the Week, on Onika Tanya Maraj aka the Female Weezy aka Roman Zolanski aka the Harujuku Barbie aka Nicki Lewinsky aka the Head Barbie.  Press play to hear our favorite Nicki quotes and why we believe Nicki is a true feminist.

We guarantee this week's episode is the bomb diggity. No diggity, no doubt.

Stuntin Like My Daddy

The Birds discuss Sandra Bland, the Cash Money lovers quarrel, and 50 Cent's ain't sh*tness.

Stuntin Like My Daddy

The Birds unveil the updates to the website including more detailed episode recaps, the new location to answer the Hip Pop Quiz audience question and how to find out more about the Bad Bird of the Week.  Tawanda introduced herself by stating "If I die in prison, burn down every CVS in a three mile radius" which led into a discussion during the "Let's Get Into It" segment of Sandra Bland, how she is every woman, and how intersectionality affects Black Women in the Feminist and Civil Rights movements.   The Birds then discuss Young Thug and Birdman's conspiracy to murder Lil Wayne, a woman receiving a $1K invoice to join her local church, and 50 Cent being a professional troll and general ain't shit ass individual.

Tawanda's Bird Theory this week centers on Teyana Taylor not being a star.  Tawanda thinks it's Kanye's fault.  EJ agrees.  What do you think?  Tweet us your comments!  Interesting ones may be read on next weeks show.

In this week's "Hip Pop Quiz segment" Tawanda asks G.O.O.D. Music focused questions. Remember to submit your answer to the audience question via the websitetwitter,  or Facebook for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show.  Congrats to last week's winners @Ellewoods119 and Chris the Great!

Q&A focused on disclosing your sexual history to your new partner.  Do you think you need to disclose how many partners you've had?  Tweet us your thoughts to @thabirdgang.

Give Me Once More Chance

The Birds battle through technical difficulties to discuss the health benefits of bacon, abstinence pledges, petty cops, and bird theories.

Featuring the return of Hip Pop Quiz and two new segments.

Give Me One More Chance ...

This week's episode got off to a rocky start with the Birds experiencing major technical difficulty. Despite that, they delve right into the newly named topics segment "Let's Get Into It" with topics about the oldest person alive, Russell and Ciara's abstinence pledge, Bill Cosby's old ass confession, and Zoe Kravitz's racial confusion.

We brought back the popular "Hip Pop Quiz" segment. This week's featured artist was the Notorious B.I.G. Take the test along with Tawanda and see how you do. EJ also gives #thabirdgang an opportunity to flex their Biggie knowledge by asking them their own Biggie question. Tweet, email, or Facebook your response for an opportunity to be shouted out on the website and maybe even on the show. This test isn't open book! Close your Google!

We also came through with more of the new-new. Two new segments were introduced "Gather Round I Got a Story to Tell" where EJ discusses her run in with a petty ass West Virginian cop, and "Bird Theory" where Tawanda discusses a Biggie theory rooted in nothing but her own emotions and deluded thoughts.

Also, Serena Williams wins Bad Bird of the Week.
